Paris Gentle Mates are 9.00 in their own building: our CDL Major IV picks
The Major I champions host at 9.00 with a roster rebuilt twice. Our CDL Major IV Paris 2026 predictions and best value picks, odds included.

Gentle Mates set out to throw the biggest Call of Duty event Europe has ever seen. Mission accomplished: the first CDL Major on home soil, a sold-out Paris La Défense Arena, all twelve franchises on their stage from June 26 to 28. One small catch. Somewhere between January and now, they also blew up their own roster. Twice. In a month.
That's exactly where the value sits this weekend. The team that won the season's first Major is priced at 9.00 to win it at home, because nobody really knows what their new four-man looks like yet. Meanwhile, the Friday reflex is to slam OpTic at 1.03 and the Thieves at 1.04 and call it safe. At those prices you win nothing, and a BO5 upset is never far away. The real money is elsewhere, and plenty of it is on the table day one.
We rate every pick out of 5, never a 5/5: in a BO5, one bad Search and Destroy and the best roster in the world drops a series.
Paris Gentle Mates vs FaZe Vegas: why the hosts are underpriced at 2.08
The book has FaZe as the favourite at 1.57 and Paris as the dog at 2.08. Check the qualifier seeding: Paris came out 4th, FaZe only 5th. Better run, longer price. That's a gap to attack.
FaZe's whole case is the head-to-head: 4-1 on the season. Except four of those five series went the distance to 3-2. That's not domination, that's a coin flip FaZe kept winning by a round. And the one time Paris beat them this year, it was on LAN, at Major I, on a loser-bracket run.
Then there's the crowd. First CDL the country has ever hosted, packed arena, and the organizers themselves are the ones playing. That kind of night lifts a team. FaZe roll in hot off a 3-0 over Riyadh, but Riyadh were a mess that day. At 2.08 for the better-seeded side, at home, we're on.
Our pick: Paris Gentle Mates to win, 2.08. Confidence: 3/5.
Outsmart the book: Paris at 2.08 !
G2 Minnesota vs Riyadh Falcons: the Envoy revenge bet at 1.90
Here's the other half of the soap opera. On May 27, Gentle Mates shipped Envoy, their 2022 world champion, to G2 Minnesota. A month later, Envoy opens the Paris Major in the opposite corner with a personal score to settle and a point to prove to the whole scene. The kind of motivation that doesn't show up on a stat sheet, but it lands.
On the maps, the timing is perfect. Riyadh Falcons, the Saudi superteam led by Cellium and the best K/D in the league, are favourites at 1.70, but they just got swept 3-0 by FaZe in qualifiers, including a 7-0 hammering in Overload. Cut their rotations and they crack, and FaZe showed everyone how days before the Major.
It's a variance bet. But at 1.90 on the dog, with a cold favourite across the server and a fired-up Envoy, the price more than covers the risk.
We're on G2 Minnesota, 1.90. Confidence: 3/5.
Envoy wants revenge: 1.90 !
Paris to win Major IV at 9.00: the swing we'll take
Paris won Major I this season. At 9.00 to win a second one, that's a big price.
So why take it? JoeDeceives first: the Player of the Year candidate they bought from Toronto KOI for $125,000, a genuine firepower upgrade at SMG. The crowd next: it's their building, their event, the first CDL the country has hosted, and the whole arena will be behind them. And the format helps: starting in the winners bracket, a loss doesn't end them, it drops them to the loser bracket. They get a mulligan.
The risk is real, though. Their path is brutal: FaZe in round one, the team that's beaten them four times this season, then most likely the Thieves right behind in the winners bracket. And this four-man (Estreal, Ghosty, JoeDeceives, Sib) has been together for barely two or three weeks. That's exactly what the price pays for. Keep the stake small.
The fun-money pick: Paris to win the Major, 9.00. Confidence: 2/5.
Dare the home fairytale: 9.00 !
OpTic to reach the final at 1.36: the safest line on the board
The steady leg to balance out the 9.00 swing. The "To Reach Final" market has OpTic Texas at 1.36 to make the grand final. The reason to take it is dead simple: OpTic have been the runner-up at all three Majors this season. Three for three.
OpTic top the CDL Points standings and are the most consistent machine in the league. The one thing they can't do is close: finalists everywhere, champions nowhere. But on this market, that's the whole point. We don't need them to win the Major, just to reach the final. Which they do every single time.
The anchor: OpTic to reach the final, 1.36. Confidence: 4/5.
OpTic always make the final: 1.36 !The Gentle Mates soap opera, or why the champion is 9.00
It starts in November 2025: Gentle Mates build a roster around Envoy and pull off the shock in January, winning Major I in Dallas, 4-3 over OpTic in the final. Then the wheels come off, an early exit at Major II, knocked out in groups at Major III.
Before Stage 4, the org swings twice. May 27: the first player swap in CDL history, Envoy out to G2, Estreal in the other direction. Days later, Neptune is benched and JoeDeceives is bought from KOI. The result: a brand-new roster, loaded with talent, no reps together, walking into the biggest event of its season. For a bettor, that's one word: variance. Paris are dangerous at home, not a reliable favourite. Which is why the value is on their close matches, not the outright.
CDL Major IV outright odds
| Team | Winner | Reach the final |
|---|---|---|
| Los Angeles Thieves | 2.10 | 1.33 |
| OpTic Texas | 2.20 | 1.36 |
| FaZe Vegas | 7.00 | 4.00 |
| Paris Gentle Mates | 9.00 | 5.50 |
| Riyadh Falcons | 21.00 | 8.00 |
| G2 Minnesota | 26.00 | 9.00 |
| Toronto KOI | 34.00 | 13.00 |
| Miami Heretics | 67.00 | 26.00 |
| Carolina Royal Ravens | 150.00 | 51.00 |
LAT and OpTic share the co-favourite tag. FaZe at 7.00, the Major II champions, make sense, but Paris at 9.00 hold more value. And if you buy the Envoy factor, G2 at 26.00 is the longshot that holds up.
