Gates of Olympus Super Scatter: 2025 test, RTP, bonus and 50 000×
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter takes the series to 50 000× with Super Scatters, Ante Bet, bonus buys and 96,5% RTP. Our verdict after 15 000 spins.

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter is the turned-up version of the Gates of Olympus line. Released on 28/04/2025, it caught us straight away. Unique volatility, a 50 000× max win, and a Super bonus sitting on top of the usual Gates formula. Pragmatic Play went much harder than usual here.
After several months of testing and more than 15 000 spins, we decided to put the session notes down properly. Figures, returns, and verdicts here come from what we actually played. Across paid spins, free spins, bonus buys, Super Free Spins, and Ante Bet, we put several hundred euros through it.

Gates of Olympus Super Scatter spec sheet: RTP 96,5 %, 6×5, 50 000×
Pragmatic Play rarely plays in this ceiling. Nolimit City has made a habit of ridiculous max wins, San Quentin II can hit 300 000× your starting stake, but seeing Pragmatic Play push a Gates title to 50 000× is still unusual.

RTP versions and CrazyBet build
RTP can change depending on where you play Gates of Olympus Super Scatter. On CrazyBet, the version we tested runs on the highest RTP build available, with an average of 96,5%.
RTP data:
- Standard: 96,5%
- Ante Bet: 96,55%
- Buy FS: 96,50%
- Buy Super FS: 96,49%
The gaps are tiny. They do not change the feel of the game much, but they still matter if you care about the build you are playing.
How wins work: connections and multipliers
Wins trigger anywhere on the grid. Gates of Olympus Super Scatter uses cascades and pay anywhere mechanics, so you need 8 matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 layout. Once they connect, those symbols disappear and new ones drop in.
We call it a cascade system because that is what it feels like at the table. Simple to read, easy to follow, and much cleaner than paylines if you already know the Gates format.
Connection rules
A symbol connects as soon as it appears 8 times on the grid, no matter where it lands. The connected symbols then vanish and make room for another drop.
That part works well. The downside is that plenty of spins show promise, drop a few matching symbols, then pay nothing meaningful.
Multipliers and addition
Multipliers are the whole point of Gates of Olympus Super Scatter. Just like the classic Pragmatic Play version, the multiplier values run from x2 to x500.
Multiplier values: 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 8×, 10×, 12×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50×, 100×, 250×, 500×
How they work
Once a win lands, any multiplier on that spin is added into the total counter. If several wins happen during the same paid spin, the counter keeps building until the cascades stop.
Concrete example: You land a connection worth 5€. A x10 multiplier appears on that spin. Your win becomes 50€. If a second x5 multiplier drops afterwards, they add together (x10 + x5 = x15), so the same 5€ win becomes 75€.
The rule is simple: if a multiplier appears at any point during a winning spin, it applies to the total value of the connection. If several multipliers land, they are added into one final multiplier and applied to the win.
Across our thousands of spins, we did hit a x500 multiplier. No connection followed it. That one still annoyed us.
Super Scatter: instant wins from 100× to 50 000× on the trigger
This is where Gates of Olympus Super Scatter separates itself from the older games. The Super Scatter is not just another bonus symbol. It can turn the trigger into an instant payout before the feature even starts.
The basic idea is easy: on every base game spin, 1 to 4 Super Scatter symbols can land. They do not appear on every spin, and they are not active inside Free Spins.
Important: Super Scatters appear only in the base game, not during Free Spins.
Free spins
You need at least 4 scatters on the same spin to trigger the 15 Free Spins. Super Scatter symbols also count towards the trigger. For example, 3 normal scatters + 1 Super Scatter = 4 scatters = Free Spins.
The big upside, when a Super Scatter helps trigger the bonus, is the instant win before the bonus starts:
- 1 Super Scatter = x100
- 2 Super Scatter = x500
- 3 Super Scatter = x5 000
- 4 Super Scatter = x50 000
One detail matters. If 1/2/3 Super Scatters land but do not trigger the bonus because the total is still under 4 scatters, you get no money from them. We have already hit 2 Super Scatters + 1 normal scatter. We would rather not sit with that memory for too long.
During FS
Inside Free Spins, every multiplier that lands with a connection is added into a permanent total. That running total then multiplies every later win until the feature ends.
Example: On your 1st free spin, you land a connection with a x10 multiplier. On the 2nd spin, another x5 multiplier appears with a connection. Your counter now sits at x15 (10+5), and that x15 applies to every following winning connection.
The frustrating part is obvious. If a connection lands without a multiplier on that spin, the win is paid without a multiplier, even though your counter stays active for the following spins.
If you land 3 scatters or more during Free Spins, you receive 5 extra free spins.
Buys and Ante
Several options are available on Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, including the Super bonus we liked testing.
- Bonus Buy 100×
- Super Free Spins 500× with min x10
- Ante Bet: +50% stake
We use Ante Bet most of the time on this game. It is much more expensive than the classic Pragmatic Play setup, where Ante is usually around +25% of the stake, compared with 50% here. It does make a real difference, but it also burns through the balance faster.
Symbols and values: 8–9 / 10–11 / 12+ tiers
There are 9 paying symbols in Gates of Olympus Super Scatter: 5 low symbols and 4 premium symbols. The table below shows the paytable for a 1€ stake.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter has no wild symbol. That is rare, but it makes sense in the Gates series because the whole engine sits on scatter pays, tumbles, and multipliers.
| Symbol | 8-9 | 10-11 | 12+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low gems | |||
| Blue | 0,25× | 0,75× | 2× |
| Green | 0,40× | 0,90× | 4× |
| Yellow | 0,50× | 1× | 5× |
| Purple | 0,80× | 1,20× | 8× |
| Red | 1× | 1,50× | 10× |
| High symbols | |||
| Chalice | 1,50× | 2× | 12× |

| Crown | 10× | 25× | 50× |
Volatility and bankroll handling on Gates of Olympus Super Scatter
The volatility is not just high. It is properly punishing. We expected that going in, but the gap between ordinary spins and the rare meaningful hit still felt wider than expected.
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Volatility | Very high (5/5) |
| Hit frequency | 27,77% (~1/3,6 spins) |
| FS frequency (without Ante) | ~1/437 spins |
| Wins >1 000× | ~1/48 831 spins |
| Max win 50 000× | 1/666 666 667 spins |
Recommended budgets
Bankroll matters on every online slot. On this one, it matters more because the base game can leave you waiting a long time for a bonus that still has no guarantee of paying.
| Starting budget | Recommended stake | When to stop? |
|---|---|---|
| 50€ | 0,20€ | After 200 spins without a bonus, or after a bonus paying more than x250 |
| 100€ | 0,40€ (or 0,6€ with Ante activated) | After 200 spins without a bonus, or after a bonus paying more than x250 |
| 200€ | 0,60€ (or 0,9€ with Ante) | After 200 spins without a bonus, or after a bonus paying more than x250 |
| 500€ | 1,6€ (or 2,4€ with Ante) | After 200 spins without a bonus, or after a bonus paying more than x250 |
| 1 000€ | 3€ (or 4,5€ with Ante) | After 200 spins without a bonus, or after a bonus paying more than x250 |
These numbers come from our own sessions. You still need to run your session your own way, because this game can punish a weak staking plan very quickly.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter vs Original: what changes?
Which one do you pick: Gates of Olympus, Gates of Olympus 1000, or Gates of Olympus Super Scatter?
If you want extreme volatility and a very high max win, Gates Super Scatter is the obvious pick. The trade-off is cost. Ante is higher, the bonus is harder to sit through without a plan, and the 50 000× headline can make the normal game feel flat.
For a calmer version that is easier to read and less expensive, Gates of Olympus still does the job.
If you want something between the two, Gates of Olympus 1000 is the cleaner middle ground.
| Feature | Gates of Olympus (2021) | Gates of Olympus 1000 (2023) | Gates of Olympus Super Scatter (2025) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Max orbs | 2×–500× | 2×–1 000× | 2×–500× |
| Max win | 5 000× | 15 000× | 50 000× |
| Super Scatters | No | No | Yes |
| Instant wins | No | No | 100×/500×/5 000×/50 000× |
| Ante Bet | +25% | +25% | +50% |

Playing on mobile
Half of our Gates of Olympus Super Scatter sessions were played on mobile. iOS, Android, it made little difference. Performance stayed solid, stakes were easy to adjust, latency was low, and the battery held up well.
| Criterion | Specification |
|---|---|
| Technology | HTML5 |
| Systems | iOS + Android |
| Recommended mode | Portrait |
| Interface | Clear portrait UI |
| Animations | Smooth (4G/5G, 2023+ devices) |
The mobile version is easy to use. The downside is that fast stake changes and Ante Bet make it a bit too easy to let a session run longer than planned.
Our real experience across 15 000 spins
Our best Gates of Olympus Super Scatter hit came across the 15 000 test spins. It paid 2 500× the stake, helped by a x500 multiplier landing on a strong base game connection.
That was our most profitable session on the slot so far. It showed the game’s ceiling well, but it also made the flaw obvious: without the right multiplier landing on the right connection, most of the base game feels thin.
Big hits do exist on Gates of Olympus Super Scatter. They also demand patience and tighter bankroll management than most Pragmatic Play releases.
Verdict: Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, yes, but with a warning
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter proves Pragmatic Play can stretch a classic without killing what made it work. The core Gates engine is still there, just with a much sharper ceiling.
This is the biggest Olympus version in the places that matter: max win, Super Scatter payouts, bonus options, and Ante cost. That last one matters. Everything is bigger here, including the losses.
So yes, Gates of Olympus Super Scatter gets a positive verdict from us, but only if your budget can handle the swings. If you are new to online slots, the classic Gates of Olympus is the better starting point.
If you already like volatility and understand what a dry stretch can do to a balance, this one deserves a proper test.
